Looking for a highly motivated and energetic sales professional.
Commission-based outside sales account executive with a proven track record of success in radio and online advertising sales. Negotiate business based on industry rating and community impact, achieve revenue, and develop new advertisers by solicitating area businesses. Candidates must exhibit excellent new business development skills, the highest level of integrity and a true passion for selling, as well as understand the vision, reputation, and community impact of the station.
Experience w/ Tapscan and Qualitap preferrable.

1290 WMCS is looking for interns! This could be you!
- Do you stand out in a crowd?

- Would you like to learn more about the radio business?
- Have a passion for broadcasting?
- Wondering how you can be like your favorite radio personality?
This is a great opportunity for you to get your foot in the door. All interns will learn how the radio industry and business works from some of the markets best talents. You will get hands-on knowledge and assist in radio programming, production, promotions, sales, and etc.
As part of the 1290 WMCS team you will be part of the markets largest urban news/talk station and be the face of the station at events, concerts, and other community happenings!
To apply you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Able to work at the station 10-15 hours per week. (shifts vary and are flexible)
- Able to be part of the station for at least 3 months. Interns are also allowed to continue their internship beyond that point.
-Interships can be taken through a school / university or an accredited media / broadcasting school, but not necessarily a requirement.
